To date, the general section, stretching 5.7 kilometers from Hachijo in Yashio City to Kawato in Yoshikawa City, is already in operation, and the 3.8-kilometer section from Kawato in Yoshikawa City to Tajima in Matsubushi Town opened on June 1, 2025. Currently, construction is underway on the 4.9-kilometer public section from Tajima in Matsubushi Town to the connection with National Route 4 Bypass in Mizukaku, Kasukabe City. In parallel, a vehicle-only section is also planned, extending from the tentatively named Soka-Yashio Junction in Hachijo, Yashio City, to the tentatively named Urawa-Noda Line Interchange in Tajima, Matsubushi Town, as a joint project between the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and East Nippon Expressway Co., Ltd. Conclusion While the public section of the East Saitama Expressway will be gradually opened, the exclusive section is expected to take more than 10 years to complete.
