Father Mateo Bautista García, born in Alba de Tormes (Salamanca, Spain) in 1960, is a religious member of the Order of Saint Camillus. He holds a Doctorate in Theology in Health Care Pastoral Care, a Licentiate in Moral Theology, and a Licentiate in Spiritual Theology. As a specialist in Health Care Pastoral Care, he has actively participated in various roles: since 1991, he has been the animator of Health Care Pastoral Care in the South American Cone. He promoted Health Care Pastoral Care in the Argentine Republic, serving as the first Executive Secretary of the Episcopal Commission for Health Care Pastoral Care in Argentina (1992-1999). He founded "Resurrección," a parish group of mutual aid for grieving families (12-10-1993). Between 2003 and 2009, he served as archdiocesan delegate for Health Ministry (Archdiocese of Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia). He is the author of 62 books that express his Camillian spirit and his particular vocation for Health Ministry and Bereavement Ministry.
