We initially thought the road to the border would be challenging, with sections of dirt, bumpy asphalt, mountains, and so on. However, after we traveled all the way here, it was truly a treat for drivers: smooth asphalt, breathtaking views, cool mountains and forests, and a slightly different border atmosphere. The route from Malinau City to Sei Manggaris/Sei Ular stretches approximately 200 km, a typical 6-7 hour drive. It's best to arrive before nightfall for convenience, enjoyment, and safety. On our way here, we'll pass several guard posts manned by the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), and our vehicles will be subject to occasional inspections.
