This Japanese Garden was the brainchild of Scottish Adventurer - Ella Christie. In early 20th Century she had traveled through Japan and was so inspired that on her return to Scotland she chose a female designer - Taki Handa - to create this garden within Cowden Castle ground near Dollar.
