e.l.f. Halo Glow Skin Tint in 2 Fair Warm | review, demo, swatches | pale, over 40

Saw Mikayla on tiktok hyping this formula up so figured there might be some interest. I know in the grand scheme of things $18 isn't bad, but considering the Soft Glam foundation from them is $8 it just seems like a very big jump in price. Maybe because it's supposed to be sort of skincare and SPF and coverage in one? But a thin layer of this surely isn't giving a ton of SPF and I rely on my actual SPF underneath it for protection. And similar to what I said about the Lisa Eldridge tint, I'm looking at my skincare to do skincare and makeup to be makeup (that's not harmful or irritating but I think when it gets too much skincare into the makeup then I can struggle with it sitting poorly on top of my skincare but it's not enough moisture/SPF to use without my skincare step). The color correction is pretty different on this video - I was trying to get something true to life that ended up being fairly pink compared to my normal videos. I honestly don't even know anymore what it should look like. It's a decade's (plus) long work in progress. 🤪 But this is also hopefully what's helpful with my blog swatches, which my catalogue goes back years and tons of foundations, and you can see the same product in multiple different color correction situations. All the brands are tagged in every post. If you enjoy my videos, please considering supporting what I do. Invisible SPF 35 Revolution Conceal & Define C0.1 for eye primer Pat McGrath Moonlit Seduction on eyes e.l.f. Brow Pen in Neutral Brown NYX brow glue tinted in Dark Brown e.l.f. Halo Glow Skin Tint in 2 Fair Warm NARS Light Reflecting Setting Powder Pressed Tarte Shape Tape in 8B under eyes Too Faced Love Flush Blush in Baby Love (discontinued) mob beauty lip liner in M1990 all over, KimChi lipstick in Cafe au Lait tapped over top to lighten Too Faced Diamond Light highlighter (discontinued) My skin type and tone: slightly to moderately oily t-zone, dry cheeks, seborrheic dermatitis in crease under my lip, around nose and eyes. I have very pale skin with subtle yellow undertones and freckles that I'm not trying to cover. I prefer light to medium coverage at most so I can get away with a decent number of colors that aren't perfect matches, especially if the undertone works for me. --- Foundation playlist:    • Foundation Swatches, Reviews, Demos   My best color matches are Smashbox Studio Skin in .1, Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation in CN 0.5 Shell, Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Foundation in F0.2. My favorite slightly darker and more yellow bases are Lancome Teint Idole Ultra in 095W and Colourpop Pretty Fresh Tinted Moisturizer in 2W. My favorite concealers are Cover FX Power Play Concealer in N Fair 1 and MAC Studio Fix Concealer in NC10 (for less coverage, more natural finish). My favorite powders are NARS Light Reflecting Setting Powder Pressed and Stellar Cosmic Face Haze Finishing Powder (sadly discontinued). My best wearing foundation currently is the NYX Can't Stop Won't Stop in Pale - see video here for details!    • Review and Demo NYX Can't Stop Won't Stop ...   and Hard Candy Glamouflage (new formula)    • Review and Demo NEW Hard Candy Glamoflauge...   Runners up are Lancome TIU 095W and L'Oreal Fresh Wear in 390 Snow. My favorite SPF for all day wear with foundation: Paula's Choice RESIST Super Light Daily Wrinkle Defense SPF 30 (can be too drying for me in the winter), Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen SPF 40 (and it's water resistant!) and e.l.f. Suntouchable Whoa Glow SPF 30 in Sunbeam (great when my skin is dry and flaky) Instagram:   / frecknic   Blog: http://www.paleandfreckled.com Business inquiries, please contact me at [email protected] Disclaimer: All products were purchased by me unless otherwise noted, all thoughts and opinions are my own and honest.
