The newest class of US-based ETFs started April on the wrong foot, accumulating net outflows of nearly $86 million on Monday, during the first session of the month, data provided by BitMEX Research shows. Bitcoin spot ETFs closed March with a week of continuous inflows of $860 million, reversing the trend from the previous week, when the product group saw outflows of nearly $900 million. The trend, observed between March 18 and 22, resulted in the worst negative daily and weekly flows to date. In an unexpected twist, Bitcoin maximalist Max Keiser has directed criticism at Javier Milei, a prominent anarcho-capitalist and libertarian leader in Argentina. According to Keiser, Milei has made a grave mistake by not taking the time to understand Bitcoin. “Javier Milei is making his first big mistake. He never took the time to understand Bitcoin, now he will suffer the consequences,” stated Keiser, a promoter of projects such as Volcanic Bonds and the Bitcoin Office in El Salvador. American economist Peter Schiff, known for his staunch support of gold and skepticism toward Bitcoin (BTC), has used social media to explain why he believes the precious metal is far superior to the quintessential decentralized finance (DeFi) asset. Specifically, Schiff noted that while Bitcoin recently reached its all-time high (ATH) in US dollar terms, it has failed to reach a new ATH when valued in gold.
