One of the biggest challenges for the social economy today? Breaking preconceptions. According to Sarah de Heusch (Director of Social Economy Europe), despite accounting for over 11 million jobs and millions of enterprises across Europe, evidence shows that social economy organisations often receive less financial support than traditional businesses, while remaining equally — if not more — resilient. But there’s another issue: many people within the sector don’t even identify as part of it.
