Changing the furler Profurl C350

Replacing a sailboat furler sounds simple... until you have to take the entire mast down! In this episode, we lower the mast with a crane, replace the forestay and install a brand-new furler. While the mast is on the ground, we also organize the electrical wiring inside the mast and tidy up the running rigging before stepping everything back into place. Putting the mast back up wasn't as easy as we expected. The crane couldn't get into the correct position, and after two failed attempts, we finally managed to step the mast successfully on the third try. To finish the project, we headed out to our anchorage for the first hoist of the headsail. The wind was simply too strong, so we waited until sunset, when the conditions became calm enough to safely raise the sail for the first time. A special thank you to our friend Adi for helping us with the mast, electrical wiring, and connectors. We also want to thank Vlad for helping us step the mast back into place.
