What's not to enjoy about Dinosaurs wielding various weapons fighting each other with metal in the backgroiund? The combat is surprisingly very solid, the music gets stuck in your head, the Souls Arts become very flashy when fully upgraded, and there's a lot of different summons. it was overall an enjoyable experience to play through. On the downsides, there's obviously a bit of jank, but it was mostly charming. The exploration is minimal and you won't have much time between bosses at all (but to me that's a big positive as I'm nearly always only interested in boss fights). Camera could be a little awkward at times, and the smaller enemies were difficult to see with all the effects going on. If you do build into the Souls Arts with Resonance, particularly in the late game it ends up completely trivialising fights, which I kind of leaned into for the second half of the game as it was fun to see the flashy attacks. Despite those small downsides I had a lot of fun with it. Thanks to the developer for providing me with an early review code.
