Obras na ERS-129 superam 80% de execução e devem ser concluídas em setembro

The road rehabilitation and paving works on the ERS-129 highway, between Estrela, Colinas, and Roca Sales, have already surpassed 80% completion and are expected to be finished by September of this year. This information comes from the Autonomous Department of Highways (Daer), which projects the delivery of the highway ahead of the deadline stipulated in the contract, whose validity extends until March 2027. With an investment of R$ 55.9 million, through the Rio Grande Plan Fund (Funrigs), the intervention covers 27 kilometers of the highway. The project includes the rehabilitation of the existing pavement between Estrela and Colinas and the paving of the stretch between Colinas and Roca Sales, eliminating one of the last unpaved road segments of the ERS-129. The highway gained strategic importance during the historic floods of May 2024. With several roads blocked, it became practically the only link between the Taquari Valley and other regions of the state for the movement of residents, rescue teams, and cargo transport. The heavy traffic has worsened road conditions, especially on the unpaved section between Colinas and Roca Sales and on the paved segment between Estrela and Colinas.
