Last-Lap Penalty Hits Debise! ZXMOTO Was Actually One of the Strongest Bikes in Misano Race 2 Valentin Debise once again proved why he is one of the strongest contenders in the 2026 FIM World Supersport Championship. Riding the #53 ZXMOTO 820RR for EASTROC ZXMOTO Evan Bros Factory, the French star delivered another competitive performance during Race 2 of the Emilia-Romagna Round at Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, Italy. Starting from pole position, Debise immediately joined the battle at the front against the Yamaha riders and finished the opening lap inside the top three. Throughout the race, the ZXMOTO 820RR demonstrated impressive pace, allowing Debise to fight for podium positions against some of the best riders in the WorldSSP field. Despite dropping back during the intense mid-race battles, Debise showed remarkable consistency, strong tire management, and excellent racecraft. The ZXMOTO machine also impressed with a top speed of 244.9 km/h, proving it has the performance to challenge Yamaha, Ducati, Triumph, and Kawasaki on one of the fastest circuits of the season. In the closing stages, Debise fought his way back into the top positions and crossed the finish line in eighth place. However, post-race drama unfolded when race stewards handed the French rider a one-position penalty for a track limits infringement at Turn 11 on the final lap. As a result, the ZXMOTO rider was officially classified ninth. Although the penalty denied him a stronger finish, Debise still collected valuable championship points. After the Misano round, he remains second in the 2026 World Supersport standings with 195 points, keeping his title hopes alive despite trailing championship leader Albert Arenas.
