Ganja is a city in Azerbaijan filled with cultural and historical treasures. I chose to travel by train to explore this beautiful city, and I'd like to share my experiences with you. I departed from Baku to reach Ganja by train. Azerbaijan's train system is highly developed and comfortable. It offers large windows to enjoy the scenery during the train journey. The journey to Ganja took approximately four hours, and observing the changing beauty of the surroundings during this time was truly enjoyable. When I arrived in Ganja by train, the city captivated me with its historical and cultural riches. Our first stop was Ganja Fortress. Built in the 12th century, this fortress has become a symbol of the city. Visiting the fortress gave me the opportunity to retrace the steps of the past. Walking through the streets of Ganja, I had the opportunity to sample the local cuisine. One of the city's famous dishes is known as "piti." This is a delicious dish combining meat, vegetables, and spices. Trying piti at restaurants or local markets is a great way to discover the richness of Azerbaijani cuisine. Ganja is famous for its historic mosques, museums, and historical monuments. Places like the Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center and the Nizami Museum offer a deeper understanding of its cultural heritage.
