In that context, Merian found in composition both a therapy for his musical ideas as well as a creative method that guided him into a new chapter of his career: composition. The result is a collection of bop-inflected melodies, with genuine musical conversation that nods respectfully to the genre’s foundations while reaching out toward new heights. A record that is joyful, bold... and intrepid. •–About Merian Eclectic, versatile, and deeply curious, Merian has been immersed in art from an early age, but finds in music his most authentic means of expression. He graduated in jazz guitar at Leopoldo Marechal Conservatory and spent years of playing jazz, R&B, soul and rock on Buenos Aires stages. Today, he plays for international audiences as part of cruise orchestras. For Merian, jazz is more than a genre: it is a lens through which to interpret music, as well as a language for self-expression and human connection. For him, jazz represents a path of personal and collective growth.
