HOW TO: Tamiya to Deans (T-Connector) tutorial airsoft Li-Po AEG Battery (Soldering Guide) #airsoft

Many airsoft Li-Po AEG batteries still come pre-wired with Mini-Tamiya connectors, but your gun may be pre-wired for Deans. If you want to know how to convert a Mini-Tamiya wired battery into a Deans wired battery, keep watching! In this video, I discuss the benefits of switching to Deans connectors, including improved connectivity, reduced resistance, and enhanced performance in your airsoft AEG replica. I also cover the reasons why Deans connectors (also known as T-Connectors) are favored over Mini-Tamiya connectors, such as the higher current rating, ease of use, smaller size and lower electrical resistance. It’s always a good idea to check your work with a multi-meter or a balance charger to make sure your battery is functioning correctly. Disclaimer - Please observe soldering safety rules while attempting to do this project! Important: Always solder a battery to the female connector. If you solder to the male connector, the pins are exposed and if touched to a metal surface, you will cause a fire hazard and short out your Li-Po Battery! Take care to practice Li-Po Safety!! When doing this conversion, don’t forget to add the heat shrink tubing before you start soldering to save you hours of headache trying to unsolder/resolder connections! Ask me how I know.
