The resort season has begun in the republic, meaning all beaches must be ready to welcome tourists. Along with cleanliness and order, the safety of vacationers must be ensured. Employees of the State Inspectorate for Small Vessels of the Ministry of Emergency Situations have completed a large-scale inspection of beaches in western Abkhazia. Gagra and Pitsunda demonstrated the best readiness, already welcoming their first tourists. Irena Bagatelia reports on the inspection results for each district.
