Full Central Heating Installation in Coventry Using MLCP Pipe | Full House Renovation

In this video, we take you through a full central heating and plumbing installation on a four-bedroom, three-bathroom house renovation in Coventry. This was our first full property installation using MLCP pipe, also known as multi-layer composite pipe or multilayer composite pipe. We had used it before on smaller runs, but this was the first time we used MLCP throughout an entire house for the heating, hot water and cold water pipework. The property had a complete new system installed, including all new radiators, new heating pipework, hot and cold feeds throughout, first fix pipework for the kitchen and bathrooms, a 300 litre Telford Tempest unvented cylinder, a Worcester 8000 35kW system boiler, and a secondary hot water return with a bronze pump to help deliver hot water faster around the property. One of the biggest advantages of using MLCP pipe on this installation was reducing hidden joints. Upstairs, the pipework was run in continuous lengths from the landing area into each bedroom and straight to the radiators. That meant no unnecessary joints under the floors or inside the walls, helping to reduce the risk of leaks from hidden fittings. Downstairs, we used copper where the pipework was visible coming out of the walls, but behind the scenes the main pipe runs were completed in MLCP. Upstairs, the customer wanted MLCP taken all the way to the radiators. In this video, you’ll see the full installation process from start to finish, including: Full central heating installation in Coventry MLCP pipework installation New radiator pipework and radiator fitting Hot and cold water first fix Kitchen and bathroom pipework 300 litre unvented cylinder installation Unvented cylinder wiring Worcester 8000 35kW system boiler installation Secondary hot water return pipework Bronze pump installation Novopress crimp / press gun being used on site Behind-the-scenes pipe runs before everything was covered up This job was also a training ground for us. It gave us the confidence to use MLCP pipe on a much bigger 2026 project involving 21 flats, which will also be documented on the channel. The installation was completed at the start of 2025, and by the time this video was uploaded the system had been running for around a year with no call-backs, no leaks, no radiator issues and a very happy customer. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 💬 LEAVE A COMMENT we would ❤ to help you out and hear your feedback 💬 (We answer all questions) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Let’s connect: (ALL SOCIAL LINKS) ⭐ http://www.linktr.ee/plumbingdoctors ⭐ --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 💎 Who Are The Plumbing Doctors 💎 This journey began with Waseem and Curtis during the first lockdowns in 2020.
