Munetaka Murakami, a two-time Nippon Professional Baseball Japanese Central League Most Valuable Player, has spent the last eight seasons with the Tokyo Yakult Swallows, batting .270/.394/.557 (843-3,117) with 146 doubles, 246 home runs, 647 RBI, 535 runs scored and 614 walks in 892 games.
