Welcome to Cambodia! 🇰🇭 I actually just wanted to show you my new €12 room in Siem Reap today, but I had to get this story off my chest first. As soon as I landed at the airport, I was threatened and ripped off by a shady official at the visa counter. He wanted $35 for my business visa (E-Visa), then cornered me and demanded even more money and photos of my passport. IMPORTANT WARNING for all travelers: 1. Official visa matters ONLY take place at the counter – never go with anyone who tries to corner you. 2. A business visa (Ordinary Visa Type E) officially costs $35. 3. A tourist visa (Type T) officially costs $30. 4. Always pay the fee directly at the designated counter and get a receipt. 5. Don't let anyone "help" you if they offer to front your money at the counter. Don't be intimidated! I stayed calm and only paid the official price, but the situation was really aggressive.
