METRONET Armadale to Byford Station VIP Train Journey C Series 136

On Sunday 12th October 2025 the Byford Extension along with the outer Armadale Line reopened after a 23 month shutdown to allow for a total of 13 level crossings to be removed on the entire Armadale Line. The work carried out in addition to being extended down to Byford Train Station saw 6 stations elevated along the line which is the single biggest project on a heritage line in Perth's rich rail history. Adding a furthe 8kms to the Armadale Line, Byford Station will provide a significant upgrade in Transperth service frequency for the local residents a huge improvement especially on Sunday's after the 254 bus route was only operating 2 hourly. In this video we take a look at Armadale Station on open day before boarding C Series 136 for an exclusive VIP journey to Byford Station.
