Breath Away by the Barkly Boys

Barkly Regional Arts presents- Breath Away; an original song written by Winanjjikari Music Centre employee, Marcus Finlay. This song was part of a collection of songs that Marcus mastered and Produced himself at Winanjjikari Music Centre. This film clip was filmed and edited together by our youth media team- Media Mob and trainer Shayne Johnson. As part of the Media Mob's 12 week training, their task was to select a song by one of our local musicians, break it down, storyboard it, organise actors and create a filming schedule. They spent three days filming all the parts and then headed to their edit suite to cut it together. This film clip is another example of how the arts programs within Barkly Regional Arts collaborate together to develop their arts practice and to create products that showcase the excellent work happening in the Barkly Region.
