Dagger Stratos 14.5L Kayak # 1
#kayaking #kayak #paddling dagger stratos 14.5L Humans were meant to explore-finding new and wild places living life to the fullest. As well as other fun sports I've paddled wild rivers - camped on small islands 🏝️ and looked at the cloud reflections on lakes on a calm day while even kayaked in the dark using a head light !! When you’re kayaking mostly solo you see and hear alot of interesting things and become one with nature! This is my new kayak and ill be testing it this winter and teaching myself much new skills as this kayak will push me to new heights and will make me more confident as a solo kayaker. What motivates you in your adventures? I hope to learn much more kayaking skills as I plan to paddle further and find new places to explore inland and sea. I love the flow of rivers and lochs as they’re always close to nature too. There also very peaceful and were no two rivers are alike they share their own beauty. The river shannon has thought me so much over the last few years and still learning how to read the water and nature while in the summer times there is a-lot of boats cruising and getting to play in their wave's can be great fun at times. While in the winter you have the place yourself and the waves can be choppy too. Always know the environment your in and when solo kayaking or open mountain running in the winter times its super important to have the right gear and know how to use it when needed. it helps that I was a mountain guide for many years and have alot of skills and good knowledge and experience in many different areas. While in the water I’m very proud of where I got myself to now and not afraid of getting out in wild weathers - my tip is don’t live in your fear and learn to be comfortable just outside it and each time your learn something different and amazing about yourself, that gives you that confidence to improve more. Many would say I live on the edge and maybe you’re right but that edge is where all the real fun starts. TIP; always tell someone where your going and roughy what time you plan to be there by sending them a text if possible. Thanks for following my adventures in trail running, open mountains, kayaking, wild camping, gravel touring and always something new to explore .
