A total of 52 families in the municipality of Acajutla, in western Sonsonate, realized their dream of owning a decent home thanks to the Resettlement Program promoted by the government of President Nayib Bukele. The beneficiaries expressed profound joy and gratitude upon receiving the keys to their new homes from the Minister of Housing, Michelle Sol, leaving behind more than 50 years of living in the uncertainty of an informal settlement, inhabiting other people's land and living in makeshift structures of plastic sheeting and corrugated metal. The beneficiary families celebrated with immense satisfaction the delivery of this housing project, called "El Milagro" (The Miracle), which completely transforms their quality of life by providing top-notch infrastructure, access to electricity, potable water, and safe conditions for their children's development.
