How to bezel an oval stone with seed beads in RAW and peyote technique

If you want to know how to bezel an oval stone using seed beads, just keep watching... and #learnastitch Hello Beaders! Welcome to a new beading tutorial. I've always liked gemstones and I have always felt sad I cannot use them in my beaded projects, other than in the stretchy bracelets or on wire-based ones. And the main reason is: the gemstones are heavy, and that's why is difficult to use them with any thread when you simply thread them on. But if the gemstone is encased in a bezel, you can use it as a pendant or create multiple points of connection with the other elements in the design, and create a strong, wearable item. Today we work on making a bezel around a gemstone - black onyx - using a combination of techniques: we create the bezel belly band with right angle weave (RAW) then we create on top of this base some peyote rows. The result is a stone that you can much easily use in your beaded projects.
