Saint Faustina Kowalska, whose memorial the Church celebrates this October 5th, was the great apostle of mercy, and it was precisely she who delivered one of the most forceful warnings about Hell. After a vision granted to her by Our Lord, Saint Faustina testified that the majority of souls there are those who did not believe in the existence of Hell. Among us, this disbelief is not always open and declared. Subtly, in fact, little by little, we relax our customs and give way to doubt and indifference. Those who, for example, shrug off mortal sin and dismissively say that "just confess later" are gradually losing faith in the existence of Hell.
