Singapore’s Circle Line Is FINALLY Complete… Was It Worth the Wait?

Singapore’s Circle Line is finally becoming an actual circle. I joined the public preview of the three new CCL6 stations - Prince Edward Road, Cantonment, and Keppel - before passenger service begins on 12 July 2026. My mission today: 1. Visit all three new stations 2. Take an epic selfie at every station signboard 3. Investigate what’s actually around these stations At first, some of these stations seem… honestly quite empty. But once you look closer, the area tells a bigger story: old temples, a historic mosque, the former Tanjong Pagar Railway Station, Singapore’s port history, and the future Greater Southern Waterfront. As a Japanese person living in Singapore, I always found it funny that the “Circle Line” was not really a circle. But now that the loop is finally complete, does it actually change anything? Was it worth the wait?
