Melt butter, stearic acid, & cetyl alcohol. Add rest of wet ingredients and mix. Pour mixture over salt & mix well - make sure all salts are evenly coated. Lay salt flat, dry 24 hours. Divide salt to create different colors. Coat salts in color powder; this takes away all stickiness, makes the color more saturated, & colors the water. Add a little to create bright colors or add a lot to create bold colors. Next, shake off excess powder. Package salt. If doing layers, make sure the salts are fully packed.
