Leica SL3-P im ersten Test | 44 MP Vollformat, 8K Video & exklusiver Besuch bei Leica in Wetzlar

I visited Leica in Wetzlar and had the opportunity to examine and test the new Leica SL3-P extensively before its official launch. The Leica SL3-P is the most powerful camera in the SL series to date and is aimed at discerning photographers and professional filmmakers. The new 44-megapixel BSI full-frame sensor delivers an outstanding balance between resolution, dynamic range, and low-light performance. With a dynamic range of up to 14 stops, ISO 50 to 200,000, and a multi-shot mode with up to 176 megapixels, it offers enormous reserves for virtually any application. Leica has also improved the autofocus system: The new hybrid AF system combines phase-detection, contrast-detection, and object-detection autofocus and operates with 819 AF points. Continuous shooting is possible at up to 40 frames per second – including continuous autofocus. In the video realm, the SL3-P offers recording in up to 8K, 8.1K Open Gate, 4K at up to 120 frames per second, and Apple ProRes recording up to 5.8K. Additionally, the new Leica Pure and Leica Cine LUTs for the L-Log color space are available, making the camera particularly attractive for professional film productions. Besides the camera, we'll also take a look at the new Leica Summilux-SL 50mm f/1.4 ASPH. and the Leica APO-Macro-Elmarit-SL 100mm f/2.8 lenses and discuss who would benefit most from the new SL system.
