Hurricane Milton Venice Florida Update & How to Help!

Venice is NOT destroyed! Hurricane Milton made landfall in Siesta Key, just 15 miles north of Venice, Florida. Fortunately, Venice did not take a direct hit and was spared the significant storm surge and major damage that we feared. Venice Florida is up and running now, with many restaurants & grocery stores open, as well as gas flowing into town. Clean up is taking place & many residents are getting power and internet back. New areas such as Wellen Park did very well during Hurricane Milton. You can hardly tell there was a storm out here. Besides just a few trees down and some bent signs, homes held up and things look great out here - even the new construction Wellen Park homes. We checked on homes for all of our past and present clients, even homes in Beachwalk looked great after Hurricane Milton. However, even though most of town is doing well we understand that there is significant damage to many of the coastal areas and low-lying areas along the water. This is especially true on the barrier islands of Manasota Key, Casey Key, Siesta Key, Lido and Longboat and all the way up the Florida west coast. Please keep everyone in these areas in your hearts and lets support them however we can.
