Tensions between the United States and Iran have escalated significantly following a series of military confrontations. Following the decision, New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani sparked a fierce constitutional debate by declaring his open defiance of the Supreme Court ruling, promising that the city would protect its Haitian and Syrian migrant communities through local municipal hotlines. Appearing on Fox News, Pennsylvania Democratic Senator John Fetterman broke ranks with his party's left wing, calling Mayor Mamdani’s actions a genuine "constitutional crisis" and heavily criticizing members of his own party for failing to denounce the defiance. Fetterman also condemned the rising anti-Israel sentiment and far-left radicalism within the Democratic Party, declaring himself a proud American patriot who refuses to align with factions that compromise global security or American principles.
