MOM reacts to $UICIDEBOY$ with photographer Calan Beasley - $ui$unday $witch #17

I had the chance to sit down with Calan Beasley, someone I truly believe is one of the strongest photographers in the music scene right now. What’s wild is that when I first met Calan back in 2023, I had no idea who he was. He was just this soft-spoken, kind guy who came up to me and recognized me before anyone else did. I didn’t know it then, but I had just met someone with an incredible eye. Not just for photos, but for people. I even forgot to ask him for a picture, which feels ironic now, knowing who he is and the work he’s done. Calan isn’t much of a talker, and this was actually his first interview ever. You can feel that in the best way. There’s a quiet honesty to it. He still showed up and spoke about what matters to him: his passion, the energy at the front of the crowd, the people he puts in front of his camera, and a few stories that were funny, iconic, and unforgettable. It felt real, unpolished, and human. Exactly how this series was always meant to be. That’s why Calan deserves a spot in Suisunday. This series has always been about the underground community I’m proud of. The loving side. The part that supports each other and creates something meaningful without needing the spotlight. I’m not sure what the future of Suisunday looks like right now. A lot of people I asked to join told me they wanted to be part of it, but when it came time to lock in dates, some never followed through. Life happens, and that’s okay. For now, I’m putting Suisunday on a small pause while I focus on other projects. If you are one I reached out to and you still want to be part of this, please connect with me. My DM is open. For this episode though, the focus stays exactly where it belongs. On Calan Beasley, his vision, his humility, and the quiet impact he’s making in the scene. And honestly, that’s more than enough. 🖤📸 Follow him on all socials ‪@fortycalproductions‬ Thank you Calan, this wasn’t easy for you but I loved every minute of it!
