VESNA by Irina Akulenko and friends

"VESNA" is a Social Distancing Fusion Dance project involving 19 Fusion Dancers from 3 countries and 10 States, all performing to track “Vesna” by DakhaBrakha edited by David Forni of Psyoptics Productions. The choreographer, Irina Akulenko, designed and handmade the headdress (others made theirs under Irina's instruction) and taught the choreography over several Zoom meetings, then each participant recorded their performance from their personal location. During times of social distancing, being isolated is particularly difficult for dancers. Projects like this, bring us as close to performing together as is possible, at this moment.
