Kiwi Rail Whanganui Branch & Castlecliff Industrial Line
This line branches off the Marton - New Plymouth line at Aramoho on the western side of the Whanganui River. It heads south through the Whanganui suburbs to the Whanganui Rail Centre on the site of the old Wanganui Railway Station. It then follows the river along Taupo Quay and Heads Road to the Kiwi Rail Container Terminal at Castlecliff. The trains arrive daily from Wellington in the early morning and depart mid-afternoon.
