Damita's Travels, travel reports from our trips with lots of information about the waters. The highlight today is the Uelzen Lock... Today we set off from a pleasure boat dock at km 223 on the Mittelland Canal. After a few kilometers, we turn into the Elbe Lateral Canal to travel further than originally planned to the Uelzen Yacht Club. We pass the gigantic structure of the Uelzen Lock with its impressive 23 m lift! We would like to share our trips with interested parties virtually on our boat "Damita." All skippers/owners of their own boats, and of course charterers, are cordially invited to "come along" if they feel like it. Boating is, by its very nature, pure relaxation.
