Running on Fumes, Just Koffing

This Pokémon Yellow Koffing solo speedrun is one of the most unusual and entertaining runs I’ve routed. Koffing isn’t known for a great movepool in Gen 1, so this challenge leans into creative strategies, risky lines, and some objectively bad moves that somehow get the job done. The result is a fun, off-meta run that shows how flexible Pokémon Yellow routing can be. Instead of perfect consistency, this route pushes for faster real-time finishes where it makes sense, even if that means taking on extra risk. You’ll see unconventional move choices, tight fights, and plenty of moments where Koffing has to punch above its weight.
