Afroman - Because I Got High (25th December 2001)

American rapper, Joseph Foreman, stage name: Afroman, turns 50 this Sunday, 28th July 2024. He is best known for his 2001 hit single, "Because I Got High". The song reached No.1 in the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and many other European countries, and peaked at No.17 in Canada and No.13 in the US Billboard Hot 100. Four different live performances were shown on the BBC music programme, Top of the Pops, culminating in this one broadcast Christmas Day 2001. Due to the Parental Advisory rating of the original lyrics, Afroman replaced the offending lines with family friendly ad-libs. #totp #afroman
