BLOOMFIELD TRACK| MONSTER CROCS | THE DAINTREE | WUJAL WUJAL FALLS & the LIONS DEN Ep23

This week we take a day trip out of Cooktown and visit the magnificent Cape Tribulation area. We drive through the world heritage Daintree Forest and visit the Daintree Icecream Factory before taking a walk through the rainforest on the Madja Boardwalk, the boardwalk is a circuit through the rainforest that allows you experience the absolute beauty of the area and the chance to maybe spot a Cassowary. After the boardwalk we continue our day trip north where we find a beautiful swimming hole and a kiosk that serves up crocodile burgers. We make our way to the start of the Bloomfield Track and cross a river before taking on some of the steepest hills we’ve ever encountered. It’s a fantastic drive that finishes at the Wujal Wujal Falls where we meet some locals who tell us about thier country and how to find a crocodile. Five minutes after leaving the falls we encounter the BIGGEST CROCODILE we have ever seen, this monster was at least 5m long and happily sunning himself on the bank of the river. After all the excitement of seeing a crocodile in the wild we head to The Lions Den for a drink and look around this quirky pub before ending our day at Black Mountain just outside of Cooktown. We had a fantastic day exploring CAPE TRIBULATION and it surrounding attractions. So come and join us for the adventure, we think your going to love it.
