Our 3-month Cost of Living Breakdown for Kuala Lumpur

We spent 3 unforgettable months in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from mid-December 2024 to early March 2025. During our stay, we lived in a luxury apartment in KLCC, complete with stunning views of the Petronas Twin Towers and luxury amenities, including weekly cleaning services. We also took advantage of Malaysia's high-quality healthcare, with health screenings and other medical needs at the Prince Court Medical Centre. Kuala Lumpur is one of the most livable cities we've ever experienced! It's clean, modern, organized, and surprisingly quiet for such a bustling international city. Safety was never an issue, and we felt secure exploring every corner of the city, day or night. We loved spending time in Kuala Lumpur's green spaces, with its beautiful parks and gardens offering a peaceful escape from the urban jungle. Whether relaxing in nature or exploring the city, there was always something to do. Dining out in Kuala Lumpur is both affordable and delicious—the food options were so tempting! We also found that groceries were plentiful and budget-friendly. The city's modern transit system made getting around a breeze, with air-conditioned trains, easy-to-use tokens, and a comprehensive network that covers most areas. If trains couldn’t take us where we needed, Grab and Bolt offered affordable and convenient options. We lived a luxurious life for 3 months in Kuala Lumpur, but did it come at the cost of our budget?
