Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya Review | Spa Day, Iceberg Lager & Beach Storm – Day 8

Day 8 of our stay at Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya, and this one turned into the perfect mix of relaxation, sunshine, cocktails… and a proper tropical downpour. This vlog continues our honest, real-world review of the resort, showing what a slower spa-focused day actually looks like. ☀️ Morning Walk & Breakfast We woke up to another beautiful sunny morning and made our way over to breakfast. On the way, we walked through Blocks 1 and the pool area near Aura Pool Bar, just taking it all in before the day properly started. Helen stuck with her usual yoghurt and seeds… although somehow managed to eat it with a fork instead of a spoon, which gave us a laugh. 💆‍♂️ Hydrotherapy Spa Experience Earlier in the week, we sat through the Ultimate Leisure Club presentation, and one of the perks was two free hydrotherapy passes, saving us £52. We checked in at the spa and spent around two hours enjoying: Hydrotherapy pools Water circuits Relaxation areas A head massage experience It was a genuinely nice way to recharge after a busy few days of excursions and late nights. 🍔 Lunch, Bookings & Spicy Margaritas After the spa, we headed back to our pool area and grabbed lunch — fresh burgers again, which honestly didn’t disappoint a second time. While we were there, we also booked onto the Turtle Tour for the following day, something we were really looking forward to. Cocktail of choice? Spicy Margaritas — which definitely set the tone for the afternoon. 🍺 Beach Time & Iceberg Discovery We then headed down to the beach, where we tried our first Iceberg Lager. Safe to say… it was amazing. It quickly became a firm favourite for the rest of the holiday. At around 4 pm, the heavens completely opened and there was a huge downpour. Proper tropical rain. But the upside? Once it passed, we basically had the beach to ourselves for a while. By this point, we were both feeling the cocktails, so it turned into a relaxed, slightly merry afternoon. 🌙 Evening – Keeping It Simple We chilled in the room for a bit before heading out for dinner at the World Buffet, keeping the evening fairly low-key. After a couple of bigger days earlier in the week, this was exactly what we needed. ⭐ Final Thoughts Day 8 was a great balance of: Spa relaxation Poolside food Beach time New favourite drinks And a proper tropical storm All part of what makes a two-week stay interesting — you get the full mix.
