The Lonely Shepherd is composed by James Last. Often you may see it attributed to (Gheorghe) Zamfir who was the original panflute player on this. The original version was released in 1977. I've always really liked this piece of music ever since I first heard it at the end of Kill Bill 1 20 years ago at the cinema.
