Rakugo performer San'yutei Enraku, who suffered a cerebral infarction in January and has been recuperating, returned to the stage in August. He chose the August middle seating at the National Engei Hall for his return. It is a position that holds a special place in his heart, as his ally Katsura Utamaru had previously performed as the headliner for many years and Enraku took over after his death. Enraku was moved to tears by his long-awaited return to the stage, but at the same time, he drew laughs with his sharp tongue, just as he did before his illness. Enraku also expressed his desire to take on the name "Ensho," a name that could be considered a permanently retired name in the world of rakugo. He also expressed his desire to unify the rakugo groups that have split into several groups.
