Kenpo: Dance of Darkness | Jamie Seabrook
In this video, I break down the American Kenpo self-defense technique Dance of Darkness, which is used as a response to a right front kick followed by a right punch. In Kenpo terminology, darkness refers to the area behind you where visibility is limited. However, this technique focuses on moving into your opponent’s blind zones, using smooth, dance-like footwork to gain positional advantage. Dance of Darkness is also featured in Long Form 4. In this video I cover the standard (ideal phase) technique, along with alternative variations and practical what-if scenarios to show how the technique adapts in real-world situations. #martialarts #selfdefense #kenpo #karate #training #mma #fighting #kick #punch #striking #footwork #sweep #power #speed
