Did Hindutva Kill Urdu? A Fact‑Check of Scroll’s Claim

Did Hindutva really “kill” Urdu or is that a selective story about language and power in India? This video responds to Scroll’s use of Javed Gaya’s Heartland Rising and tests the claim that Urdu was “erased” by majoritarian politics against a longer history of Sanskrit, Persian, Urdu and Hindi, from courts and colonial debates to Partition and Pakistan.
