Afif admitted that he will never forgive the perpetrator who allegedly held and abused his sister for years. In his statement, Afif hoped the perpetrator would receive the harshest possible sentence. However, he did not want the perpetrator to receive the death penalty, as many, including his own sister, hoped. "I don't want the perpetrator to receive the death penalty," his older brother firmly stated, holding back tears while attending a press conference at the West Java Regional Police Headquarters on Friday (June 26, 2026). He even admitted that he wanted the perpetrator to be handed over to his family so he could experience the same suffering his sister experienced. "I want the perpetrator to be handed over to his family, so I can judge him. My proud sister was destroyed by him," he added. Afif also said he had no problem with the perpetrator serving prison time first. "I don't mind whether the Regional Police sentence him to one or two years, as long as he gives him one or two years to the family, as long as he keeps my sister imprisoned," he said. According to Afif, there's no room for forgiveness for the perpetrator for the situation his sister is currently in. "From the perpetrator's family, there's no apology. They readily apologize, while my sister is devastated like this. There's no forgiveness," he stressed. As the victim's older brother, Afif admitted to being heartbroken to see his sister traumatized by the alleged imprisonment and abuse. At the end of his statement, Afif again urged law enforcement officials to impose the harshest possible sentence on the perpetrator. "Those who are guilty must be punished as severely as possible," he concluded.
