The afternoon 688 was always running with Transbay Gilligs, as the block was interlined with P after this trip. However, on this day surprisingly a local Gillig was on it instead! I was hoping more for an EV or hydrogen bus, but this isn't bad too as this was Voith! There weren't a lot of students onboard, but many of them stayed until Montclair, where most of them got off the bus. Along the way, more got off before we hit Park Blvd, and then empty bus to Grand Ave! In fact, taking the 12 from Berkeley to Grand Ave will even be faster than taking this route!
