Pokemon Violet - Solo Azumarill defeats 7-star Magikarp raid in 7 turns (consistent clear 3HKO)

A new 7-star tera raid challenge approaches in 2026... and it's just Magikarp. Azumarill can set up and handle this one easily, but I decided to try for a consistent speed clear for the recorded run on the channel, at least to make things interesting with no threat of failure. The Azumarill set here is the usual max Attack with Huge Power, but running Metronome (the item) for a maximal power boost on top of a STAB tera Fairy Tera Blast for 100% accuracy over Play Rough for once. NPC support doesn't really matter much here but can proc Rattled, as you can see. Maybe Rock Smash from Mudsdale or one of the SpD droppers could speed things up even more in theory, or simply getting a crit would do, but this is a pretty solid minimum at base. The gameplan is pretty simple. The worst Magikarp can do is waste time with Splashes and potential critical hits and it doesn't have any resets or anything, so Azumarill just has to use Belly Drum T1, use Tera Blast 3 times to charge tera and Metronome, then terastallize and use Tera Blast 3 more times for the win with a 3HKO. Alternatively I believe an attack cheer could work while not interrupting Metronome but would just make it a 2HKO anyway in the same amount of turns. Once again, thanks for following along if you're still here reading this. This may or may not be the last 7-star raid, we'll have to see if gamefreak has any more ideas before 2027.
