At the time of the procedure, the temperature outside was 37 degrees Celsius, as can be seen on the on-board computer screen. The car was manufactured in December 2017 and first driven in April 2018. Nevertheless, the system is almost 9 years old. Due to leaks (I was told an average of 30-40 grams of freon is lost per year), the freon in the system is very low. At 22 to 30 degrees Celsius, the cooling seems to be fine, but at 37 to 38 degrees Celsius, there is no cooling at all, and on the highway, there is barely any cool air. More accurately, the air is good, but slightly cool, making driving at that temperature quite uncomfortable. The conclusion is low freon pressure in the system. If the system had been punctured somewhere, like by a rock in the radiator, or a clamp had come loose and everything had leaked, there wouldn't have been even a little bit of cool air in an empty system. As it is, there's simply little gas left due to natural leaks. The same thing happened with my previous Peugeot, a 308 1 gen. 1.6 HDI, so when the car was about 8-9 years old, I had to refill the system. Back then, I had it done at a nearby repair shop in St. Petersburg. This time, I bought a kit and refilled it myself. The video shows how it was done.
