Forge welding - scarf theory and making chain

Lets continue our discussion on forge welding by looking at the basics of scarf making and then move on to making a short section of hand forged chain. The concept of a proper scarf is an import one for most forms of forge welding and while the exact nature of the scarf can vary, the theory remains the same.
