CVMA Round 6 – First Time Racing in the Rain (Part 1) | 2024‑03‑16

This was part of the same rain race weekend at CVMA Round 6 on March 16, 2024. This was actually my first time going out in the rain. By the time I gridded up, the fear really kicked in. But once the flag dropped, race mode took over and I settled in. After a few turns, I made a pass on the outside of Turn 14 and Turn 13, but the other rider got comfortable and passed me right back. I kept trying to find a good feeling so I could push a little faster. After that session, I learned that I should have been running a wet setup, but mine was still for the dry. I wish I had known earlier so I could have made some adjustments. I’m honestly excited for another rain race so I can get more experience and keep improving.
