QUAL ÂNGULO DE APLICAÇÃO VIA SUBCUTÂNEA

The subcutaneous route is considered a parenteral medication administration route. As with other medication administration routes, there is a correct technique. In the subcutaneous technique, the medication is administered into the hypodermis, also known as subcutaneous tissue, and depending on the needle used, the angle can be 45º or 90º. In this video, I will present a preview of the integumentary tissue with the skin layers and demonstrate the correct angle for subcutaneous administration. This video lesson is very useful for healthcare professionals and students (medicine, nursing, and pharmacy), as well as for patients who self-administer this route.
