Deputy Pulls Over Speeding Driver and Makes Shocking Discovery On July 27th, 2025, an officer with the Sumter County Sherriff Department preformed a traffic stop on a vehicle after they were on speed radar going 15 miles per hour over the speed limit. They were both then transported to the Sumter county county jail where they were both charged with Possession of Fentanyl, Possession of Cocaine, and possession of cannabis.
